Marketing Intern
Shape Grengin's go-to-market from the ground up. Work directly with founders on campaigns that ship, not case studies that sit in a folder.
About Grengin
Grengin is building the self-hostable AI chat platform that SMBs actually deploy — an OpenWebUI and LibreChat alternative that goes live in five minutes, not five weekends. We're early-stage, well-funded, and racing to define how small and medium businesses adopt governed AI.
Our core pitch: AI for all. Control for IT. Insights for executives. 5 minutes.
We're launching our go-to-market motion right now — which means this internship is a rare chance to shape a brand from the ground up, not inherit one.
What You'll Do
- Competitive research & positioning — Analyze competitors (ChatGPT Enterprise, Microsoft Copilot, LibreChat, OpenWebUI) and help sharpen our differentiation
- Content creation — Draft blog posts, comparison pages, LinkedIn content, and newsletter copy that speaks to IT managers, founders, and operations leaders at SMBs
- Campaign support — Help execute product launches, Product Hunt campaigns, and AWS/Azure marketplace listings
- SEO & keyword research — Identify high-intent keywords, audit existing content, and propose improvements
- Customer research — Conduct interviews with early users and prospects; synthesize insights for the product and marketing teams
- Social & community — Support LinkedIn, Twitter/X, and developer community engagement
- Analytics — Track campaign performance in HubSpot and Google Analytics; build simple dashboards and share weekly wins
- Sales enablement — Draft battle cards, one-pagers, and case study drafts that the founders actually use in customer calls
Who You Are
- Fresh MBA graduate (Class of 2025 or 2026) or currently enrolled in a full-time / executive MBA program
- Genuinely curious about AI, SaaS, and the developer tools space — you've at least played with ChatGPT, Claude, or a self-hosted AI tool
- A strong writer — you can explain a technical concept in plain English and make it interesting
- Comfortable with ambiguity and speed — early-stage startups don't come with playbooks
- Data-literate — you're comfortable in spreadsheets and happy to learn tools like HubSpot, Google Analytics, and Notion
- Self-directed — you can take a rough brief and come back with a first draft, not a list of questions
Bonus Points For
- Prior internship or work experience in B2B SaaS, developer tools, or AI/ML companies
- Familiarity with technical concepts (APIs, self-hosting, SSO, LLMs) — you don't need to code, but you shouldn't be scared of a terminal
- Experience running paid campaigns (LinkedIn Ads, Google Ads) — even if only via a class project
- A personal blog, newsletter, or portfolio of writing samples
- Experience with SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console)
- Built something on the side — a micro-SaaS, a Substack, a campus event series
What You'll Get
- Direct access to founders and a seat at the table for real GTM decisions
- Ownership of real projects — your work ships with your name on it (literally — bylines on blog posts)
- A strong letter of recommendation and intro network in the B2B SaaS ecosystem
- Pre-placement offer (PPO) consideration for exceptional performers
- Competitive stipend, remote-first flexibility, and a modern tool stack
- A crash course in everything early-stage marketing: positioning, content, SEO, paid, community, and analytics
