Control Hub Guide
The Control Hub is where you administer Grengin — your platform’s command center for monitoring activity, managing people and resources, and configuring how the AI works for your organization. This guide walks you through everything you can do there, one area at a time.
Just looking for how to use the chat app itself? See the Grengin User Guide.
Getting to the Control Hub
Open your account menu at the bottom of the left sidebar (your name and avatar) and choose Control Hub. The Control Hub option only appears if your role includes administrator permissions — if you don’t see it, ask another administrator to grant you access.
When you open the Control Hub, you land on the first area your role allows. If your role has no admin areas yet, you’ll see a short “no access” page instead.
How the Control Hub is organized
The Control Hub sidebar groups everything into six areas. You’ll only see the items your role grants — empty sections disappear automatically, so your menu always reflects what you can actually do.
| Area | What it’s for |
|---|---|
| Overview | A 30-day snapshot of organization-wide activity, with quick links into everything else. |
| Monitor | Watch what’s happening — usage analytics, prompt quality, audit history, and system health. |
| Manage | Run the day-to-day — people, departments, and AI engines. |
| MCP Connectors | Register MCP servers and control who can use each server and tool. |
| Configure | Set the rules — roles & permissions, and the shared prompt library. |
| Settings | Platform-level configuration, starting with single sign-on. |

Where to find things that aren’t obvious
A few areas don’t have their own sidebar entry — here’s where they live:
- Department settings (budgets, allowed models, department admins, department prompts) are inside each department. Open Organization & Departments, select a department, and use the tabs in its detail panel. See Organization & Departments.
- System Metrics and System Maintenance share one page that isn’t in the sidebar — reach it from the Overview dashboard’s quick links. The same page hosts the health charts and, if you have the Maintain System permission, a Maintenance tab. See System Metrics and System Maintenance.
- Settings currently opens straight to Single Sign-On configuration. See Single Sign-On (SSO).
