Grengin User Guide

Grengin is your AI chat workspace. You ask questions, get answers, share photos and files, search the web, and tap into connected tools and apps — all in one conversation that you can come back to anytime. This guide walks you through everyday use: how to sign in, find your way around, chat with the AI, and tune your own settings.

Getting in

When you open Grengin and you’re not signed in yet, you land on the Welcome to Grengin screen. How you sign in depends on what your organization has set up:

  • Single sign-on. Click the provider button for your account — for example Google, Microsoft, or your company’s login. You’re sent to that provider, and once it confirms who you are, Grengin brings you back and drops you into your workspace.
  • Email and password. If your organization enables direct admin sign-in, you’ll see an Email and Password form. Enter your credentials and click Sign In. The button shows Signing in… while it works.

If both options are available, you’ll see your sign-in form with an Or continue with divider above the provider buttons. If sign-in fails, a brief message tells you what went wrong so you can try again.

Finding your way around

Once you’re in, the sidebar runs down the left edge of the screen and is your home base. From it you can:

  • Start a fresh conversation with New Chat.
  • Browse your chat history — every conversation you’ve had, newest first. Click any one to reopen it.
  • Search your chats by typing in the search box; clear it with the X to see everything again.
  • Open the alerts bell to peek at recent notifications, with a small badge showing how many you haven’t read yet.
  • Open your account menu at the bottom (your initials and name) to reach Settings or Sign out.

Hover over a chat in the list to rename, archive, or delete it. You can also collapse the sidebar to give your conversation more room.

On a phone or small screen, the sidebar tucks away. Tap the menu button in the top header to slide it open, and tap the bell up there to check your alerts. Tap outside the menu to close it again.

Notifications and alerts show up two ways: as the bell in your sidebar (or mobile header) with its unread badge, and on a dedicated alerts page where you can read everything, filter to just unread items, and scroll back through your history. Short pop-up messages (toasts) also appear briefly to confirm actions or flag errors.

The two things you’ll do most

Nearly everything you do in Grengin happens in one of two places — the conversation itself, and your personal settings. Here’s where to start.

Chatting

Chat is the heart of Grengin: type a message and the AI replies, and you can bring in photos, files, web search, and connected tools to get more done. You choose which AI model answers and which tools it can reach.

See Chatting with the AI.

Your settings

Settings is where you connect Grengin to your other apps and shape how the AI behaves for you — linking integrations and personalizing the instructions the AI follows.

For administrators
